Among the Leaves

Limited edition print from the #Stalked Love Letter series. I am releasing six of the original love letters as giclée prints.

The Love Letter series was created out of darkness and created in tandem with my first wall murals in Denver, Rochester, and Cisco, Utah. They use the words sent to me from another artist who stalked and harassed me for years. Once he was convicted, I tried to reclaim my own space and narrative that was violated by his invasion.

The originals are created with the charcoal that covered the artwork the sent me and the ‘love letters’ he had scrawled on the back. His booted footprints were often imprinted on the work as well... I wanted to recreate the feeling of stalking and trespass but used my own work boots to walk across the love letters...reclaiming my space.

Three of the original letters were also turned into wall murals to raise awareness about stalking and harassment in public spaces, in Colorado, New York, and Utah so far. You can see those installations on my website at www.shannon.galpin.com

This special print is sized 18x24, on matte archival paper, signed. A portion of proceeds of each will be donated to RAINN to help support their work against gender violence awareness, improving policy, and supporting survivors.
